When developing microcontroller (MCU) applications, a debugger probe is typically needed to connect a target MCU to a software development system. While TI’s LaunchPad boards include debugger interfaces, TI Target Socket boards (e.g. MSP-TS432PZ100) and custom hardware usually require a stand-alone debugger probe, such as that provided here.
There are a number of debugger probes available for the MSP432™ ARM® Cortex®-M devices. While many of these debuggers support a wide variety of ARM based devices from TI (see entire list at MSP432 Debuggers), the MSP-FET + MSP432 Adaptor combination allows users to develop products based on either the MSP430 or MSP432.
You can purchase each item independently or in the bundle. For example, if you already own the MSP-FET, you only need to purchase the MSP-FET-432ADPTR, which converts the MSP-FET’s 14-pin JTAG connector to either the standard ARM 10-pin or 20-pin connectors.
