Description for the TPS62260LED-338

The TPS62260LED-338 evaluation module controls the color and brightness of a lamp or runs an automatic color light animation program. The color is generated by three LEDs (red, green and blue). An MSP430 ultra-low power microcontroller controls the brightness of each LED with constant current generated by three TPS62260 buck converters, one for each LED. The TPS62260LED-338 is pin compatible with the TPS62240 buck converter for lower current LED applications and the TPS62290 for higher current LED applications.

If a designer prefers to reprogram the MSP430, a separate MSP430 Flash Emulation Tool can be ordered, such as the MSP-FET430UIF Development Tool. The Wireless communication can be achieved by using the eZ430-RF2500 evaluation kit. The MSP-FET430UIF and eZ430-RF2500 tools are listed below in the related tools section. These are available for purchase separately from the TPS62260LED-338.
