The TVP5151EVM evaluation module is used to demonstrate the TVP5151. The TVP5151 is a low power and low cost NTSC/PAL/Secam Video Decoder ideal for portable applications. Composite input signal is sampled at 2x the ITU-R BT.601 clock frequency, line-locked alignment, and is then decimated to the 1x pixel rate. CVBS decoding uses four-line adaptive comb filtering for both the luma and chroma data paths to reduce both cross-luma and cross-chroma artifacts. A chroma trap filter is also available.
The TVP5151EVM was designed for ease of use to minimize set up time while providing an evaluation system for the TVP5151 video decoder.
The TVP5151EVM includes the TVP5151 NTSC/PAL/Secam Video Decoder Board Module which is powered via its USB port. It also includes a Windows™ compatible application called WinVCC (Windows Video Control Center). WinVCC communicates with the TVP5151EVM via I2C through a USB port connection and provides the means for manipulating system register settings. This software is provided with the TVP5151EVM.
