The ADS7042 Ultra-Low Power Data Acquisition BoosterPack is an add-on board designed to bring low-power, high-precision discrete analog-to-digital conversion capabilities the MSP- EXP430FR4133 LaunchPad. This bundle includes both of these boards.
The ADS7042 Ultra-Low Power Data Acquisition BoosterPack is a stand-alone system that converts analog sensor data into digital SPI data using the TI ADS7042 Successive Approximation Register Analog-to-Digital Converter (www.ti.com/product/ads7042). This BoosterPack has been designed to be compatible with the TI LaunchPad(TM) ecosystem to enable a complete data acquisition system from analog sensor input via either the on-board ambient light sensor or the SMA input jack to digital data output over UART via the USB port on the LaunchPad. The MSP-EXP430FR4133 LaunchPad development kit is an easy-to-use Evaluation Module (EVM) for the MSP430FR4133 microcontroller. It contains everything needed to start developing on the MSP430 Ultra-low-power (ULP) FRAM-based microcontroller (MCU) platform, including on-board emulation for programming, debugging and energy measurements. The board features on-board buttons and LEDs for quick integration of a simple user interface as well as a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) display which showcases the integrated driver with flexible software-configurable pins. The MSP430FR4133 device features embedded FRAM (Ferroelectric Random Access Memory), a non-volatile memory known for its ultra-low power, high endurance and high speed write access.
